Except in the first few sheets, also each change of subject is denoted at the bottom of the page. The words used for this purpose (such as Life, Metaphysics, c.) refer to the headings of my mss. The reader will perceive that the book is printed in a somewhat peculiar way. I have adopted a few contractions, a list of the chief of which is subjoined.
