Green cloth hardboard binding, with crisp white-stamped lettering to the spine. Unbumped spine head and tail, with sharp corners, except that the lower front corner has a noticeable bump affecting approximately the first 100 pages. 10.75 x 8.25 inches. Text block firmly bound in. With 277 numbered pages, and including 68 full-color plates and 143 B&W illustrations, all on coated stock. Apart from the moderately bumped lower page corners, a very clean volume free of demerits, and rather tight, with little hint of shelf life. Very gently read. No remainder marks. The pictorial DJ is unclipped and with light rubbing/scratching to the rear wrapper. A Very Good Plus copy in a Very Good Plus DJ.. Revised Edition. Cloth. Soame Jenyns and William Watson, both formerly of the British Museum, have assembled for this book the most important works in a variety of exotic materials.
