Die sehr "uchtigen Vogel hielten sich stets in den Kronen hoher Baume, meist Ahorne, auf; doch konnte er einen Vogel einmal auf 15 m Entfernung durch das scharle Prismenglas genau betrachten. Er sah uufserlich einem Fitis sehr ahnlich; der kraftige Gesang war jedoch ganz abweichend. Er notierte folgende strophen.
