Hardcover itself is in near-fine condition, save for mild softening and creasing of spine and faint rubbing at corners. The clean tan cloth boards contrast beautifully with the bright gilt whale design on cover and lettering on spine. Binding a bit loose but intact, and corners are sharp. Mild scratching on fore-edge. Front free endpaper bears customary library identifiers; all other pages are sunned but clean, with no marking or highlighting.
