Schließlich schrieb schon der Musiktheoretiker Adolph Bernhard Marx 1855: 'Kunst ist ebenfalls nichts durchaus für sich Bestehendes, sie ist nur eine Seite des ganzen Menschenthums, nicht loszulösen vom Leben der Menschheit sondern in steter Beziehung und Wechselwirkung mit dessen gesamtem Gehalt.' Anschließend werden die Zusammenhänge mit der Sozial- und Ideengeschichte der Entstehungszeit am Beispiel Lohengrins vertieft, um schließlich die These zu überprüfen, dass die Idee vom Glauben an die soziale Gemeinschaft gepaart mit individuellem privatem Liebesglück auch noch im 21.
