It is structured around secondary modules with different photographic themes, such as water, public squares and markets, urban or rural dwellings, Christian and Muslim monuments, the Schwartz mansion, and also contains a brief presentation of the life and architectural work of Zachos. The exhibition’s curator, Yannis Kizis, accompanies and counterbalances the exhibited archival material with contemporary photographs of the depicted landscapes, thus recording the evolution of the urban and rural space as well as the monuments’ present state.
