The dust jacket is in very good condition, with rubbing on the surface. The rear panel is scratched. The longest scratch is 6" long. From the Introduction- "In his [Newton's] photographs he never makes fun of women, never sneers at them nor tries to make them look ridiculous. His vision is an idealization of a reality that isn't always ideal, but is nonetheless the source of his inspiration." Helmut Newton was awarded the French "Grand Prix National de la Photographie," the German Kodak Award for Photographic Books, and a Life Legend Award from Life magazine.
