This book looks at the newly developed technique of color blood flow imaging (CBFI) - a noninvasive ultrasonic method which will change essentially the diagnostic procedures in cardiology in the years to come. Additionally, CBFI yields new insights into physiological and pathophysiological mechanisms of the cardiovascular system which cannot be investigated with any other method. The reader is introduced to this fascinating method by typical findings of CBFI in all common types of heart disease. The diagnostic possibilities of CBFI are shown by the presentation of high-quality color pictures which have been taken directly from the screen without video play-back these are integrated into the text and extensively explained in the legends.
