As an humble layman, and with thanks to my brethren of different denominations who have kindly furnished the material here collected together, and with a prayer that these forms may never be read formally, but in the Spirit, this little volume is sent forth with the hope that it may be an instrument under God in establishing many family altars, and in rebuilding many which have been broken down.
