The findings shows that, there is no significant differences in nutrient's distribution throughout the coastal oceanic zone of Bangladesh specially in the fishing ground areas of the Bay of Bengal. Till now there is no available report on physico-chemical parameter's of subsurface water and surface sediment off Bangladesh coast. Therefore, the present study would be a baseline reference for developing water and sediment quality index of the coastal-oceanic zone of the Bay of Bengal. 152 pp. Englisch.
