The publication was so well received that it was decided that the journal should become an annual publication.The publication has been printed annually since and in this time has become an invaluable record of Gibraltar's history, including our relatively recent history, through the publication of personal reminiscences and family histories, in addition to more traditional articles on military history, social history, language in Gibraltar, and much else. Thanks to strong support from those who have formed part of the Editorial Board over the years, the Journal has grown a reputation for well-grounded research.
