This life poem is the result of 20 years of researching the mystery of who we really are, and why at times we feel like we're disintegrating into small pieces of ourselves, all worth less than the whole. I wrote myself out of my "identity crisis" and regained my wholistic/holistic view of myself through comic verse and research. If there is any logic to what I have written, it came from my great, great, great uncle Peter who taught logic and philosophy at the University of Uppsula in Sweden in the 1700s. Diane Hawksford, a new kind of poet and renaissance woman, as she has been called, interprets behavior through her poetry musings in her attempts to make sense out of all of life's changing images. This 90 minute psychological and sociological treatise poem is all about identity and relationships. Searching for one's identity often leads us on a breathtaking race through a maze of ideas and choices, and hopefully leads us home to feel comfortable in our own body/mind/and spiritual place. In the book format, newly released in late 1999, the artwork of Thomas Boll lends itself beautifully to the different themes in the poems (e.g. marriage, love, men, women, children, roles, dignity). In the audio format, the musical background was composed and arranged by Scott Nelson and Mark Mueller, owners of Creative Music, as a backdrop for the reading done by Sylvia Lackore. Diane Hawksford prefers to look at her poems as Psych 911 versus Psych 101. Audio Cassette, Label: Diagnostic Center of Learning Patterns Inc. Diagnostic Center of Learning Patterns Inc.
