This book alphabetically lists the over 60 watercraft owned by George C. Boldt and his family at their 1000 Islands estate in Alexandria Bay, New York. 52 b/w pictures trace each vessel's history. A detailed description is given of each, where it was built, who the builder was, and where some of these boats are today. The front cover is a reproduction of a 1905 colored photograph of Mr. Boldt's Yacht House which is on the National Register of Historical places. It opened to the public on June 21, 1996 and is directly across from Boldt Castle. 3 of Mr. Boldt's boats are there on display. A 103 foot house boat built in 1903 for Mr. Boldt is described also. It is owned currently by Mr. Andrew McNally III, Chairman emeritus of Rand McNally who has owned it since 1943. It is deeded to the Antique Boat Museum of Clayton, New York which will put it on public display. This book is 7" x 8 1/2" in size. It was introduced to the public in May of 1993 and has been revised and! reprinted twice since then.
