It was clearly the intention of our rules to abolish the distinction between appeals from the common law side and the old equity side of the court, whereas that distinction is still preserved in llngland. We have no doubt at all that under our rules the time for appealing from an order of ajudge in chambers iipon an originating summons is eight days, and the objection must therefore prevail. We have been asked to extend the time for bringing this appeal under order 6 L, rule 7, but we have not been furnished with any special reasons for so doing, nor has any suggestion been made to us to make us think that course Ham. AND Cor. v. WIIITTINGTON AND Axornna. Feb. 5th 8th and 9th. Copyrirhl---Regi. lralion--Injunclion--Copyright Act 1890, ss. 3, l5, 20, 21, 23, 25 and 29. Compilations derived from sources accessible to everybody or to everybody who pays hes, where fees are exacted, involving the expenditure of lime, trouble, money and skill, are a fit subject jbr copyright. The plainllfs were the owners of two pamphlets, one of which was issued daily and the other weekly, the latter being compiled from the five preceding daily issues. 1 hey registered the weekly issue as a book, and in giving the particulams required by section 21 of the Copyright Act 1890, they gave as the dale of thefirsl publication of the book the dale of the first daily publication. Hold, that lhis was not a good registration of the book. The plaintiflls employed a clerk to search and make extracts from the Registrar-Generals books of various matters therein contained, upon the terms that the results of his searches were to be their properly absolutely.
