The codex J2 would then neither be transcribed from the Rstam manuscript nor from a sister manuscript of it but directly from its original. And this original must in fact have been without signature, for Mitr-pn does not mention his predecessor in J2, nor docs he mention in K5 the predecessor of Rstam, although such was his custom elsewhere. Furthermore, the Avest text in the two older but wholly worthless Yasna sdas, Li 7 and B3, is excerpted from K5 but in a very inaccurate and faulty manner. 1 Between these two families stands the family tree of the Yasna with Sanskrit translation by Neryosangh.
