She curses him that all his lies will become truth. What he tells others to get their goods and gold will happen to him instead. In this world of wizards and dragons Dorandol becomes the hilarious foil of his own outrageous cons. From the top of his floppy hat, pinned with a gaudy stolen broach, to his purloined golden robes and ill acquired pointy red boots, he is miserable. The more he cons the worse it gets. Yet he does not understand what is happening. His nose is constantly dripping. His back is fiercely aching. His groin is afflicted with a fiery rash. His fingers are showing green rot. But most of all, he is tormented with unquenchable thirst! Dorandol visits a wizard to get some relief. The wizard has his own agenda. He tells Dorandol he will lift the curse upon him if he will go on a quest to retrieve the Dragon Tooth Horn .And, he must take the wizard’s apprentice, Roharn, with him. Roharn is a true hearted if somewhat inept wizard. Dorandol’s lies and Rohorn’s need for truth and justice constantly clash along their journey. The pair have their wits and magic skills tested as they encounter giant flying pussycats, trolls, dragons, ghost warriors, malignant wizards and babes.
