A hard musical taskmaster, he was worshipped by his fellow musicians, yet somehow still managed to remain an elusive and enigmatic figure unknown to the wider musical public. There was much more to the man than his brief time spent with The Beatles in Hamburg, and the reader will hopefully be inspired to seek out other recordings from a career that spanned well over 50 years. Shortly before the publication of this book, the sad news arrived that Tony Sheridan has passed away in Germany.
