DJ is unclipped and has one short split and attendant crease to lower front edge and a couple of wrinkles to top edge of spine strip. The author traces the history of Army Education back to the Cromwellian Model Army and follows it through the succeeding centuries, ending with the Cold War and the huge reduction of scale and deployment of the British Army which followed.The merit of this history lies in the diverse military undertakings it describes, set in the wider educational and political contexts of the day. Heavy book.
