Tiny bookseller label to bottom of back inside board. Naftel was Guernsey's outstanding watercolour painter. Here is told the story of the man, his work and the influences which made him one of the greatest watercolour painters of his time. Entirely self-taught his outstanding ability was recognised when he was accepted as a full member of the prestigious Old Watercolour Society in London. With many colour plates and some b/w.
