Heavy crease along bottom hand edge. Some scratch. Some moderate to heavy edge wear left hand edge. INTERIOR - MAIN PROBLEM - Moderate ripple from water damage over most of front endpaper diminishing to page 14. Light water damage with light ripple top hand edge dimishing until gone page 45. REST - 3/4 inch moderate top of spine spine of jacket. Light edge wear spine of jacket. CLIP - Several fortunate circumstances made the unveiling of the Surrealist Angel" possible in Salvador Dali's eightieth year. The maestro was willing to entrust me with the world-wide edition of the sculpture, and I'm proud to present this fantastic and fascinating work to the public. It is probably the very first time that a book of interpretations and associations of such diversity accompanies the unveiling of a work of art. They will immediately enrich the exciting experience of looking at this sculpture. It was only with great difficulty that I managed to refrain from including my own thoughts on this masterpiece. However I reminded myself that, as the only person to have read all the diverse interpretations collected in this volume, I was no longer in a position to render an unbiased interpretation. In addition the book is full of surprises for Dali enthusiasts, present and future. There are even surprises in store for the Dali specialist !
