Presumed First Edition (NAP). This is a very rare copy of what I believe to be the author's third novel. He went on to write mainly science-fiction using a number of pseudonyms, including Evan Innes, Peter Kanto, Pablo Kane and Tusk Smith. He may or may not have said "(I am) the most published, underpaid and unknown writer in the U.S." This book is in excellent condition. Take a look at the photographs. The orange covers are very clean. The white lettering on the spine is bright. Beside a little crinkling at the spine ends this book shows just about no wear at all. It is very solidly bound, square and tight. And the pages look terrific as well. No writing/underlining on any one. No markings. No creases. And no soiling. You can't ask for more, particularly from a book nearing its 50th year. The dust jacket is rated Very Good. It is Not price-clipped. There are no tears. The spine ends, again, show some crinkling. The spine appears to have faded in color. There is a speck of a spot on the 'S' in 'Feast'. In general the covers are quite clean. There are tiny nicks and light scuffs (all smooth) on the front. There is also a smidge of loss at the bottom right corner of the front (see 1st photo). The dust jacket will be fitted with a protective cover.
