It is a Friday evening. The sun tries to literally set with the life of Deogracious. It is the celebration of 0% injuries; accident free year at work; hence there is feast to it. Deogracious is then ordered to start-up the acid plant with his team-mate. Unfortunately, the pump that Deogracious is working on, malfunctions. Tank load of sulfuric and nitric acid explodes on him; it burns his whole body. As he thinks of nothing but death; God shows up in spirit, he promises him that he is not going to die, and his youth will be recovered like an eagle. Through this conversation with God; he gains strength to withstand all the odds. The first odd he withstands, is the reversal of the curse. It is well known that sulfuric and nitric acid are very strong dehydrating agents. So, this acid burns Deogracious to ash, but because God's plan is unlimited by the earth, he declares him back to flesh. The curse of being destroyed by this acid is being reversed. He then learns that; with God, mankind have power to change any season. Deogracious is then experiencing God at a different level; as God compares him to an eagle, in the midst of his agony. As the eagle's blunt beak and fading feathers get restored on the mountain peak; so too shall it be with your life, vows God. As confused as he is, Deogracious begins to abide and believe on what God is saying to him. That keeps him going and breaking through multiple pains. He was hospitalized for approximately seven months. The overall theme of the book; is that, we should never limit God because of the facts known. The death of Jesus Christ was meant to eliminate all the knowledge that contaminates our minds; our understanding. Consequently preserving our soul; hence a healthy spirit. Deogracious learns to trust God in all that he does.
