The Situation can in part be explained by the relative newness of the concept of the built environment as a particular grouping of interrelated activities to the Field of reference documentation. A further reason has to do with the inherentcomplexities of the subject. One feature of this is that books concerned with such a wide sphere of human affairs as the built environment are, in any System.
