***SIGNED AND INSCRIBED BY AUTHOR, TERRY DOBSON*** This intensely read hardcover book with a peek-a-boo dust jacket is a stated 1978 First Printing from Delacorte Press. The inscription and signature are in black marker on the free front end paper with the stamped name & address of a previous owner at the page bottom: plus from the same pen, an original line symbol drawing on the adjacent front inside cover. The half-title page has, written in black ink, a drawn and notated key to the previous owner's invented symbols, in order to aid new readers in a full understanding of these “value added insightsö that enlighten the authors work from the very start. Hand written on the 256 pages (half of which are dog-eared) of text & graphic symbols, are very frequent marginalia notes, comments, straight lines, five point stars, asterisks, and arrows. Additionally, the printed text is often underlined; sometimes circled; or if necessary, contained and unified within penned parenthesis. But wait, that's not all! On the front of this still well conditioned hardback copy, with its quarter bound aqua colored cloth spine & faded orange titling, over tan-brown paper hard board covers, there is a center, square shaped area that is less sun faded as where exposed through a surgically cut-out piece of the dust jacket's front cover. Leading to that mysterious cut-out is a, now, scotch taped repair of the closed cut line that gave scissored accessed the center square. Otherwise, the dust jacket has only two minuscule scuffs, and a tiny, closed tear on the back bottom edge. As a purchase bonus, we are including a neatly folded Readers Digest review of the book; and six, same sized, two-sided (heavily notated) crib sheets with many symbols as listed to decode on the half title page key, as previously mentioned.
