Unpaginiert. Broschiert. Gebraucht, aber gut erhalten. - Kishin Shinoyama - a unique photographer who has actively sought human beauty - has resumed his dramatic activities. For his last experimental film, "Shinorama" [NEW YORK], he constructed a device in which three motor driven camera are connected in parallel, with the shutters set to go off simultaneously. He took shots of NEW YORK by moving his specially-made cameras three or four times vertically and projected the film on nine or twelve screens. His "multi-screen photography" of NEW YORK, created a sensation, and his work successfully depicted the inner realities of the inorganic metoropolis. Kishin Shinoyama had given several names to this most unique experiment in his varied photographic activities: "multi-screen photography", "multi-image", "panoramic visual", etc. He derived the final name, "Shinorama," from "cinerama", a film style. Each picture on the multiple-screen overlaps a portion of the adjoining pictures due to the slight differences in the focal length of each lens and the camera angles. It was effective in expressing the passage of time and movement of space in the film. This photographic genius refined his "Shinorama" technique and has presented us with about 1,000 male and female nudes, depicting the beauty of man at the Theme Pavilion sponsored by the Japanese government in TSUKUBA EXP0'85. Male body, with its strength, and the female body, with its delicate curves and shadows, were filmed by nine cameras and projected on a multiple-screen (three meters by five meters ) by eighteen slide projectors. Each shot communicates the mystery and splender of the human body. The album is a reedition of his striking document done under the supervision of Kiyoshi Awazu, the top-class graphic designer. (Klappentext). ISBN 140084162.
