This is a story of a Soviet bomber, an A-20 Boston , which was found at the bottom of the Gulf of Riga in June, 2008. The aircraft, of the First Mine Torpedo Aviation Guards Regiment, which belonged to the Red Baltic Fleet, did not return from a combat mission on November, 27th, 1943. As a result of considerable research, the surnames of the pilots, as well as the flight routing and characterization of the combat mission has been discovered. What became of the crew was also researched and the results included. The biography of the Crew Commander - Guard Captain P.V.Letunovsky was of particular interest, and his details were brought to light by a relative, Jeanna Alexeevna Brusnik, an inhabitant of the City of Surgut. She has been most helpful in providing details of her long lost relative.
