You read signs more closely, and you study the map to compare different routes. You can circle back to a historic building or a decide to ditch the interstate for scenic county road. You ask more questions, and you engage more in your surroundings. You are forced to think about where you are, where you're going, why you're making the journey, and the best way to get there. Life is a journey, asking questions that will determine who we are and what we think about life's most significant issues. For example, what is human excellence? What is friendship? love? courage? How do we learn? What constitutes the just state? We're so specialized today that we don't see the whole picture, knowledge is knowing the facts. Wisdom is knowing the facts and how they all interrelat.
